Social media for you and me? (Beaufait & Terada, 2016.06.11)

Here is the slideshow from our presentation about social media at the PIGATE gathering on June 11, 2016:

We'd love to read [and respond to] concerns, questions, and suggestions regarding social media for learning, teaching, and professional development, both from attendees and from people who were unable to attend the session at KGU. Please feel free to spell them out either in comments on this post or in tweets to #higopigate20160611.

  1. I've been doing an RST number on the slides-rearranging, supplementing, and tweaking them. Please make it a point to peruse the presenters' notes as well as the revised slides.

  2. All polished up, the embedded slideshow is, and there are a couple of post-presentation addenda:

Slide 43: Tip-top tip, with a new reference (Richardson, 2016); and
Slide 46: "Preaching to the choir"? (Scheutz's comment on Couros, 2015).

  3. There's now a summary of our presentation upstream on this blog:

Please note that slide numbering changed slightly, and let me know if you find any broken links. Thanks.
